Potty

For the last couple weeks Elizabeth has been obsessed with the "potty"! She is constantly trying to play in it, just keep it closed and problem solved, right? No! she can open, unload an entire roll of toliet paper, flush, and close the potty, all with the door close mind you as fast as I can say "Lizzy, what are you doing?"
So on Sunday night she was saying "potty" again, I didn't think much of it since this is not an unusual occurance. I thought, what the heck, lets try her sitting on the potty. Sure enough a couple story books later and a few times getting up and being put back, she DID IT! I'm not so sure she has the whole concept down but we're at least moving in the right direction :0)

A Busy Weekend

Most of you probably already know, but Mike and I were able to get back out on our own after living with my parents for about six months. We are so grateful for a loving supportive family that is always willing to help us out. Since we have gotten our own place and felt like we had a grip on life, wouldn't you know it we have been thrown a few minor curve balls. Last Friday I got in a minor car accident, but it turned out that the body damage wasn't much to be fixed so we have decided to take the money to get ahead on a few things, however I got a phone call from Mike on Wednesday that his truck had broken once again, the poor thing seems to always be having problems with it.
SO, yesterday we decided to go and look at getting Mike a new(to us) truck . . . Eight hours and a few more thousand dollars in debt this it what we had!

I am so excited for Mike to have a more reliable truck for work, he works so hard to support us and give us what we need and want, he deserves it!

Lizzy was such a trooper yesterday, we decided to take a break and get her valentine gift for her. We took her to build-a-bear to get a new friend . . . this is what she picked.

She hasn't parted with it since!

Lastly, we got to go to our new ward today for the first time since I was teaching primary previously and didn't want to leave them hanging. We have been working getting Lizzy aquainted with nursery for the last couple of weeks, being that she is now officially eighteen months. She didn't last but 10 minutes by herself, so Mike enjoyed nursery again this week. I however got to meet a few new people and enjoy Sunday School and Relief Society for the first time in a while. We are excited to get and established in our new ward and making some new friends!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Cupcakes!

I was feeling ambitous this week. On Tuesday I decided that I wanted to send out valentines to friends and family, being that I had less than a week I decided to get right to work and had them finished that night.(I forgot to take a picture, however I think most of you received one) What's valentine's day without treats, so lizzy and I made cupcakes yesterday and delivered a few to those who live close by.

I had such a good little helper, she even decided to taste test a few!

With a smile like that I just had to laugh :)
