Halloween

My sister and her husband blessed their little girl, Lydia Jo, this weekend so Elizabeth and I went with my family to Salt Lake for the weekend. It turned into quite the trip with the snow storm late last week, we headed out Friday morning to find the worst road conditions any of us had driven on in quite sometime between Fort Collins and Laramie. With lots of Prayers and Patience we made it to Laramie and from there on the conditions improved, and we made it to Salt Lake safe and sound!
Lucky for us we got to spend Halloween with our little cousins too! Elizabeth didn't quite understand what was going on, she was more interested in watching everyone running up and down the street looking so strange. With Kaylie and James leading the way she may have caught on just a little bit. I sure did have a good time getting her all dressed up and the candy is a bonus too! :)

I can't wait for next year when we can all enjoy it a litte more!!

Take me out to the Ball Game

The Rockies have been on fire for about the last month so we decided we better get in on the action before it becomes impossible to try and get tickets. Mike, Cameron, Elizabeth, and I went to the game on Saturday. We had a blast, Elizabeth loves to be outside so she was in her element, except when the crowd would erupt. Although after she figured out she was safe with me, she would join in clapping.

Nine innings was a bit much for her to sit so we decided to take our first break between the third and fourth innings and go meet Dinger, the mascot!

I was a little bit worried at how she would react, but while we were in line she caught a glimpse and was so excited. She has been loving Barney lately, I guess she sees some resemblance:) she was even lucky enough to get Dinger's autograph!

We did manage to even catch some of the game between walking and looking at the fountains that were able to go off because of a few home runs, water is another favorite of Elizabeths, she thought they were pretty cool.

So, between meeting Dinger and the Rockies getting the win and and the lead in the wild card chase, I'd say we had a great evening. Go Rockies!!

I Can See Clearly Now The Rain is Gone!

We had a huge thunderstorm today, with lots of rain and small hail . . . even a tornado warning, but no action here thank goodness! Elizabeth didn't seem to notice the dark gray skies!
She found my sunglasses in the car after church and was trying to put them on, once we helped her get them on she thought is was pretty silly!

Just one of Those Days

I knew I was in for a rough day when Elizabeth woke up at 2am and couldn't breathe! She was finally able to go back to sleep at 4:30am and actually slept until 8:30. Not bad right?! She woke up not a happy camper, Elizabeth isn't a fussy baby so when she is I know something is wrong, she has had a constant runny nose since about 10pm last night. I didn't think much of it because I was pretty sure she is getting her bottom front teeth. However when it's keeping her awake and nothing makes her happy I began to doubt myself, then I spent the majority of the day at home with the tv on and watched way too much news on the SwineFlu freaking myself out, I know she doesn't have that! But it's so hard not knowing exactly what is bothering her and how to help!
Mike was supposed to go to the Nuggets game tonight but he being the wonderful husband that he is didn't want to leave me under these circumstances. Hopefully they win tonight and maybe he'll have the chance in the second round!

Hopefully tomorrow will be better :0)

Oh my Goodness! Oh my Goodness!

Well, last night is a night that I hope to soon forget! Elizabeth woke up at 2:00am and nursed like usual, then when we tried to put her back in bed she would just kick her legs and flop around, I got her back up and changed her diaper only to have her then be wide awake. We let her play for a while and then tried to nurse again, she didn't want any part of that, so we decided to take her for a drive, two hours later she went to sleep at 4am. It seems like she is going backwards she used to be such good sleeper and for the last month or so she has been waking up every three hours but usually will just nurse and go back to sleep. Not last night :0! When we took her for the drive I heard this song that put it all in perspective even at the wee hours of the morning! It made me stop and remember how precious this time is that she is little and before I know it she is going to sleep through the night among many other things! Enjoy the song :)

Let The Madness Begin

For all of you basketball fans out there, it might as well be Christmas morning . . . it's the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament!!!! We may not be the Cameron Crazies, however we are the Riedman Rowdies! I was shocked to find out there are actually people out there who don't know what March Madness is. We have made a pool for our family, of course it's just a friendly competition to have some good old fashion fun . . . OR is there such a thing in our family?! :)

I'm Innocent

Elizabeth has become quite independent in sitting by herself and wanting to explore in whatever is near her, although she isn't quite crawling yet. I'm sure the day she does is in the not to distant future. A few days ago I set her down for I kidd you not like two minutes to finish getting the diaper bag ready before we headed out . . . and this is what I found!

Nursing pads dumped all over, with the cutest little face looking up at me, as if to say "I'm Innocent I Promise"! I know it's only the beginning and I already can't keep up with all of her messes. Oh the Joys! :)

A Taste of Spring

Last Week we had temperatures in the 70's almost everyday, needless to say we all got a small dose of spring fever! We broke out the shorts and sandals ad tried to spend as much time as possible outside. I found some much awaited jellies to put on Elizabeth, I was so excited to finally let her wear them . . . sadly they are almost too small. Guess we'll have to go find new ones!

Long Over Due

I know its been a few months since I've posted, I promsie I'll get better at posting regularly! I hope everyone's holidays were relaxing and enjoyable. We had a wonderful time visiting friends and family, and watching Elizabeth grow like crazy! I can hardly believe she will be five months on Monday, it seems like yesterday I was walking around the lake trying to go into labor, How times flys!

This is what we've been up to . . .

We tried rice cereal for the first time a few weeks ago . . . She hasn't quite got the hang of it, but we're getting better at it everyday.

We've had the blessing of Elizabeth being the third grandchild on my side . . . so we get lots of hand me downs! Toys, clothes, we get it all . . . Hey, I'm not complaining it's been kinda nice. The latest item was the jump-a-roo! She enjoys herself and is beginning to figure it out.

Our latest adventure was last night in the swing, we have been working on sitting up by herself she discovered last night that if she can sit up in her swing, so she now has to be buckled in! She had a grand old time grabbing the side and stopping the swing!

She's growing up way too fast, changing everyday! I guess thats the name of the game :0)
